Management and
Board of Directors
The following individuals are the representatives of the management team and/or the Board of Directors of BSafe®.
Michael Strauss, Chairman & CEO
Michael Strauss former Chairman and CEO of the Sherwood Group, a management advisory firm, dedicated to helping emerging growth companies manage every phase of a company’s development. During the last several years, Mr. Strauss has been involved several companies including, CDS Business Services, Inc., and Colorado Prime Corp. Mr. Strauss helped these companies assemble a strong management team, refine and/or articulate the business strategy, build the infrastructure, and most importantly, direct the management team to execute the strategy. Prior, Mr. Strauss spent twelve years as a senior executive at American Express. He was one of only three Executive Vice Presidents of the Travel Related Services Division of American Express. He headed the Gold Card Division, the Canadian subsidiary, the U.S. Credit Card Business and the Travel Division. Mr. Strauss also served in several financial and management capacities at American Airlines, The Bank of New York and Citigroup.
Mr. Strauss earned his BBA from the City University of New York and an MBA from the Baruch School-City University of New York. Mr. Strauss currently serves on the Dean’s Council at the State University of New York, at Stony Brook – College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He is a founding Board Member of the Long Island Software & Technology Network (LISnet). He is also a member of the Advisory Boards of Praxell, Network Privacy Inc., and Poly Information Ltd. He is Founder and Chairman of ExecuLeaders Forum for Marketing and Sales.
Gil Lewin, Vice President, Marketing and Sales
Founded Gilco Sales in 1963, the first company to package plumbing repair products for peg board POP merchandising, which he eventually sold to Melard Manufacturing. For the next 18 years Gil was the Senior V.P. of Sales and Marketing at Jameco Manufacturing Company, where he established a retail products division. Gil organized joint manufacturing partnerships internationally to exclusively supply Jameco. He managed a national network of sales representatives and established national accounts which included Sears and JC Penney. In 1990 Gil started IMC International Manufacturing Corporation. He created import programs for Home Depot and Lowe’s for plumbing fixtures and faucets.
Michael Bruh, Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Bruh has been a principal of Impressions, a full-service marketing agency for 30 years leading the strategic planning and creative team. He has offered clients best practices in all aspects of marketing communications including branding, advertising, demand generation and customer relationship marketing. Michael has developed successful marketing programs for Bayer Consumer Products, MasterCard Worldwide, The Guardian Life Insurance Co., Weight Watchers International, Citicorp, Chase Manhattan Bank, SAAB, BMW and McGraw-Hill, among others. Michael also helped develop and launch the non-profit D.A.R.E. America (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) co-branded credit card. The D.A.R.E. program is in 85% of U.S. schools and more than 40 countries.

Eric M. Hellige
Eric Hellige, head of the corporate and securities practice at Pryor Cashman LLP, has more than 25 years’ experience in general corporate representation, with an emphasis on transactional work. His practice concentrates on a wide range of corporate, securities and commercial matters. Eric received his B.B.A. from Hofstra University in 1977 and J.D., Hofstra School of Law in 1980.
Robert Wong
Robert Wong, retired, former Senior Managing Director, Chapman, Spira & Carson, LLC of New York City, in charge of the firm’s merchant banking practice. Mr. Wong is Chairman of the Executive Policy Committee of an international ergonomic engineering consulting firm with many patents in artificial intelligence and micro-electric mechanical systems (MEMS). He was, until recently, the president of Ergonomic Technologies Corp., an ergonomic engineering consulting company financed by Mitsubishi and Tokei Marine that delivers its services worldwide through a proprietary, patent pending intelligent web portal. He was Vice Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of BCAM. Among the companies which he managed as founder and Chief Executive Officer through the early stage of each company’s development are: Ultrasonic Research, Inc., URI-Thermix, Inc., Sound Water System, Inc., Medix Technologies, Inc. and Parallel Data Systems, Inc. Robert started his career as a System Engineer for Western Electric Co., Inc. and then as a principal owner of Coordinate Apparel, Inc., a business he grew from $14 million in sales to over $200 million. Robert earned two degrees in Electrical Engineering and in Industrial Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Louis Ottimo
Louis Ottimo co-founded JetOne Jets, with his brother Anthony and is currently its CEO. Louis’ primary focus is to oversee all financial aspects of JetOne while also maintaining ownership of his management consulting firm, Wheatley Capital.
Prior, Louis founded Wheatley Capital in 2001. Prior to Wheatley Capital’s creation he had been the President of North Pacific Capital, which owned an OSJ broker dealer. Under Louis’ control he grew the branch to over $35 million in sales and up to 100 retail brokers.
Warren Cohen
Warren is a partner and co-founder of Valeo Partners LLC, an advisory firm assisting companies in organizational, business and financial development and acquisition strategies.
Prior to Valeo, Warren had a 25 year career at Eagle Electric Manufacturing Co. in the manufacturing and distribution of electrical wiring device products used globally in residential, commercial and industrial construction. His experience included financial management, human resources, systems design, marketing and sales, and Executive Leadership.
Warren was recognized by Crain’s NY Business as one of the four 1998 Crain’s All-Stars. Warren is also on the board of Tribco, LLC, a private company that owns the Queens Tribune, a weekly newspaper covering Queens, NY. Warren serves as board member of the New Leadership Division of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, which raises money for, and works with, the Hospital’s pediatric unit. He was a former Trustee of the Queens Museum of Art, and a board member of the Sunnyside Community Services, which supports western Queens with varied programs for youth and the elderly as well as managing an extensive home health care operation.
Warren received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Boston University and continued graduate work in finance and marketing at New York University Graduate School of Business. |
